This growth and the resulting increase in the complexity and needs of the business put significant strain on the delivery of Human Resource services both to its rapidly growing employees and to its partners leading the various businesses within the organization. Results The study found that the current HR organization, processes and systems were operating effectively, notwithstanding the recent proliferation of point solutions for various HR process requirements. The next steps for the organization were to develop a new target HR service delivery model, driven by the expected strategic and tactical HR requirements for the next 5 years, to include both the target software applications as well as a determination of which processes to outsource. Similarly, growth in the complexity of the business from one where IT had only one HR customer prior to the acquisitions the company executed to one where there are multiple HR customers with very different needs has driven a need for HR and IT to collaborate even more closely and to introduce much more formal processes for managing change.
